4-5 cloves

2 inch cinnamon sticks

Step 1: We take the water in a deep saucepan and boil it.

Step 2: While the water is boiling, crush the ginger, cloves, black pepper, and cinnamon.

Step 3: Once the water boils, add all the crushed ingredients along with the basil leaves to the pot.

Step 4: Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until cooking reduced by half.
